If you’ve scheduled a content session with Builderfriend, first off, congratulations!
We’re so excited to help you show up on camera and communicate your brand value in an amazing way!
If you’re feeling nervous about it, first, think about why you are nervous.
Are you nervous to say the wrong thing?
Are you nervous about how other people will perceive you?
We are here to make sure you shine in the best light when you’re on camera, so talk to us about how you’re feeling and we can help you.
Cleaning Up Space
Ensure that the space you’ll be recording in is up to the standards you would want the viewer to see them. Let us know if there are any parts/aspects of the space you don’t want to be shown on video and we can stage/adjust.
Angles and Lighting
Hopefully, you trust us to do a good job framing you in an attractive light. But if you’re going to scrutinize yourself on camera, or you like one side of your face to the other, just tell us.
We’re going to frame you in the best way possible, likely for nice lighting and a cinematic vibe.
Talk to Us
We’re really curious, so we ask a lot of questions.
We want you to feel comfortable on camera, so you’re welcome to ask us questions, so we can explain how the frame will be set up, the videos will be together, and the end goal of the content piece.
Have Fun!
It is totally normal to feel nervous before you get on video. We see people clam up when they get on camera. And even though we may be quiet, we’re cheering you.
But, think about it…
You probably have such an easy time talking about your business, what you do, and how you help people, but when we put a camera in front of you, you might forget your words, laugh, fidget nervously, or curse.
Don’t let yourself go there!
Have confidence in yourself and your message.
What You Say vs. What You Mean
We're open to retakes, and actually encourage you to repeat your interview pieces a few times. If either of us pick up on a lack of clarity - what you said versus what you mean isn't matching - we can help steer the conversation in the right direction to deliver the right message.
We Are Here to Help!
Understand that we always have your best intention at heart and will work hard to help you shine on camera.
